Delete your CounselRoute account

You can delete your account and personal data at any time. It takes a minute and cannot be undone.

In the app (clients and therapists)

• Open the Profile tab and choose Delete account.
• Enter your password and confirm.

On the website (clients and therapists)

• Sign in, open Account and choose Delete account.
• Enter your password and confirm.

Cannot sign in?

Email support@counselroute.com from the address on your account with the subject “Delete my account”. We will verify it is you and complete the deletion within 30 days.

What happens

• Erased: your name, email, profile, preferences, goals, intake answers and journal entries, and your sign-ins on every device.
• Cancelled: your upcoming sessions, and your care relationships end. Your therapist (or client) is told.
• Kept in anonymised form: payment records, signed clinical notes that therapists must retain by law, past appointment and message history the other person still needs, and security audit logs. These no longer show your name. Reviews you wrote stay, shown as “Deleted user”.
